Every now and then I get asked about my skin care ritual.
A lot of my friends (even my mom) noticed how dewy and glowy my skin looks lately. And they asked me what I do and what products I use. I really don’t know what to say sometimes since I am forever trying new products. But I have 3 constant ingredients that I need to have in a product.
- Vitamin C
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Glycolic Acid
I used to have really dry skin. Even if I was using La Mer moisturizing creme I still get comments like how dry my skin is. It took about 6 months for me to use La Mer when my skin started to change (not like Claudia. When she used La Mer I instantly saw the change).
I have used a lot of products already. But when I discovered how good organic products are, it changed my whole skin care regimen. It made my skin so beautiful. I went organic from then on.
This is my day and night skin care.
The first thing I do before taking a shower at night is remove my makeup. The makeup remover I am using now is this:
Derma E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil
I take about 5 pumps of this and apply it all over my face. Then I massage the oil for a few minutes (upward strokes) until I feel that my makeup has melted. Then I take my makeup remover wipes and wipe my whole face. This is the makeup remover wipes I am using (I have been using this for a few years now):
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
I always do double cleansing (especially if I have makeup) to make sure my face is squeaky clean. For my second cleansing I use this:
Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser
If you notice this cleanser has Glycolic Acid
Once I feel my face is already clean I apply my toner with cotton pads. The toner I am using now is:
Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Toner
When the toner is dry already I apply my eye cream. The eye cream I have been using for a long time now is:
Chanel Sublimage La Cremè Yeux
But a few months ago Wildleaf (a new organic brand) sent me samples to use so, right now I am using this:
Wildleaf Nourishing Eye Treatment
I have been using this for like a month now and I love it. It is so hydrating on my eyes. I only use this at night.
After applying my eye creme I apply my facial oil. The oil I have been using (for like 3 years already) is this:
Aura Cacia Rosehip Oil
I use 2 pumps of this and apply it all over my face (upward strokes). Then I massage my face for a few minutes (you’ll be surprised how massaging your face can really make a big difference. So, don’t forget to massage your face).
After massaging my face with my Rosehip oil I apply my moisturizer. The moisturizer I am using now is:
Derma E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer
I just use 2 pumps of this and apply it all over my face and neck (never ever forget your neck).
I have a face mask that I use twice or thrice a week and I sleep with it. I have been using this for a couple of years now.
Chanel Sublimage Masque
I usually use this during weekends. This is my night time masque.
After doing all that, I am now ready for a good night sleep.
For my daytime skin care, I have a different set of products. Before putting on my makeup this is my skin care.
I apply my eye creme first. And for daytime this is the eye creme I use:
La Roche-Posay Redermic C
I just recently used this. I bought this when I went to Hongkong a few weeks ago. I used to use Chanel Sublimage La Cemè Yeux. So, far it is good. It doesn’t get in the way when I apply my eye makeup.
After applying my eye creme, I apply my facial serum. The serum I am using now is this:
Derma E Vitamin C Concentrate Serum
I have been using this for a few weeks now so I can’t really say much about it. Before this I used to use this:
Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum
I super love this. Then Wildleaf sent me their Vitamin C Serum:
And I super love it too! It has the same effect as the Chanel Hydra Micro Serum. So, I used this for a couple of months.
After applying my Vitamin C serum I apply my moisturizer.
Derma E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer
After applying my moisturizer I apply my sunblock (never forget to put sunblock). The sunblock I am using now is:
Eau Thermal Avéne Trés Haute Protection with SPF 50
After applying my sunblock my face is now ready for makeup!
So, that’s my skin care routine. We all have different types of skin. I used to be dry skin but now I am normal to dry.
