Yay! Family Sunday lunch day.
The 2 boys woke up late ‘cos they were out late last night. Claudia early in the morning went to the gym. Before she left she told me that our lunch has to be around Rockwell ‘cos she will be in that area already, and not Mamou. She was there last night for dinner. Tell koko (what she calls Vinny) it’s up to him where just text me where and I’ll meet you there. Okay, Mom?
Ah, mura gyud sya’g korek dah. Tagalog: para syang korek. English: she is my Mom.
I had my roots done around 9:00 am.
Vito woke up with swollen tonsils and feverish. Among all my kids it’s Vito I don’t want to get sick. A simple swollen tonsils will become cancer of the esophagus for him. Or brain tumor. Or Schumi has germs.
Plus Nana panicking.
This is going to be a tough day.
He decided not to join us for lunch. Our Lunch was 12:30nn in Kuretake.
I rinsed my hair dye around 10:45am and took a shower and I started to get ready for lunch. I was already ready to go around 12:15 and Vinny was still changing. So, I waited for him. I started to get hungry. I mean really hungry. Like I have never been this hungry before. Like “ang sarap kumain ng tao” hungry.
Vinny came down a few minutes after and we left for lunch. When we got to the restaurant I didn’t know what to order. Vinny said just get Ebi tempura Mom. I said mixed Ebi tempura na lang at least there are veggies (good girl). And I also ordered miso soup ‘cos my tummy was starting to get painful (acid).
While waiting for the food I started to get dizzy. And I remembered what my brother, Ryan, who is diabetic, told me “if you start to get dizzy that means your blood sugar is going low. Eat something sweet so your blood sugar will spike up.”
Oh, shit. oh, shit.
I called the waiter and followed up our order.
Okay, I’ll stop here ‘cos I don’t want to bore you with my blood sugar stories. To cut the long story short, we had a lovely lunch and I feel bad that Vito could not join us.
