I watched some shows in Netflix lately. Some I feel bad after watching and some just so so and some hilarious and led me to this person I am so obsessed now. As in obsessed people. OBSESSED.

I told my kids to watch. If I suggest a show to my kids I have to make sure it’s good so I won’t end up being judge by them. Especially Vinny.

Anyway, let’s get moving.

There are only 2 kinds of shows that I watch or I choose to watch. Documentaries (true to life stories) and stand up comedy.

1. I watched The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. I followed this story when it happened in 2007 and after that I just didn’t hear anything about it anymore and I didn’t know what happened to this 3 year old British girl after she disappeared . So, when I found out that Netflix was doing a documentary of Madeleine McCann, I waited for it.

It finally got released and I watched it. After watching the movie I did not know how to feel. It took me 3 days to watch the entire movie. 1 Season, 7 episodes.

The story picked up in episode 3. I would find myself watching it at 4:00am. I’d wake up to pee and if I can’t go back to sleep right away I’d watch a few scenes until I fall back to sleep. When it ended I felt so bad and sad. I don’t think this is a story for mothers and yet I feel that all mothers should watch it.

I don’t want to be a spoiler but go and watch it but be prepared. This is not a feel good movie. The film will introduce you to her family and it will make you feel even more sad ‘cos you get to know them and you will feel their pain.

2. I am a big fan of Ellen Degeneres (who isn’t, right?). I watched her special entitled Relatable that was just released recently. I did not like it at all. I found it so boring and awkward.

David Letterman was her guest in her TV show lately and he told her the special was brilliant. He was all praises. But even if David Letterman liked her special I still think it was boring. I did not find it funny. Which was a big let down ‘cos I love Ellen. I watch her TV show ever since she came out.

3. Claudia likes Amy Schumer. We both follow her in Instagram and I have read her book “The Girl With Lower Back Tattoo.” Claudia brought the book when we went to the beach when it came out way back in 2017 and she told me to read it. But it doesn’t mean I like her or her humor. But I don’t hate her also.

Since I follow her in IG I knew she was doing a special in Netflix entitled “Growing.” So I kinda know when it was coming out. When it finally came out, I watched it. I was anticipating that she would make me laugh.

Why does she talk about her vagina all the time (even in her book)? Is she trying to make a point? I know she’s a “feminist” but talking about her vagina for an hour will not prove the point. Not for me at least.

Go watch it if you want to see her put up her dress ‘cos she showed her belly button to the audience.

4. I watch a lot of stand up comedy shows and my favorite is Dave Chapelle. He cracks me up all the time. Like I love this guy. I’ve seen all his specials in Netflix and some of his non Netflix shows. He is the only stand up comedian that I watch. I’ve watched a few that I liked but eventually stopped watching them like Kevin Hart, Russell Peters, Jokoy, to name a few. But it is only Dave Chapelle that I never stopped watching. Like I said I love this guy. He makes me laugh even during days when I don’t even feel like smiling.

Until I sumbled upon Trevor Noah.

This guy is soooo funny, good looking, hot and sexy. The whole package.

He has 2 specials in Netflix. And that is how I discovered him. I used to see him everytime I scroll comedy shows in Netflix but like I said I only watch Dave Chapelle. I never clicked on him until now. And I’m glad I did.

A very smart guy (he speaks 6 languages), he can speak different accents and very strong stage presence.

He is the new host of The Daily Show. After 17 years Jon Stewart decided to retire from The Daily Show and pass his seat to Trevor.

I am so obsessed with him that I followed him in YouTube and Instagram and I am just about to buy his book Born To Crime (his childhood story living South Africa). Stalker alert. Lol.

He grew up in South Africa during the apartheid and that’s what made him even more interesting.

If you don’t have anything to do, go watch him and let me know what you think. He is my new celebrity crush.

Over lunch today (sunday lunch with kids) I talked the whole time about Trevor (first name basis. Haha).

Oh, god. I can’t stop talking about my Trevor.

Stop me.
