I get a lot of queries on how to put on make up. And more often I wouldn’t know how to answer them.
I don’t consider myself good (in putting make up). Not at all. I have good days and bad days. But one thing that I make extra effort is to have good skin. I take care of my skin religiously. I used to have very dry skin when I was much younger and that’s one of the reasons why I got obsessed with skin care.
For as long as you have good skin you don’t even have to put make up at all.
But of course not everyone has good genes and especially since we are hormonal we get break outs. All the time. So, whether we like it or not, we have to learn how to conceal those blemishes. And that is why we have to learn how to put on make up.
For me the hardest part to put make up on are the eyes. It took me awhile to get it right. It needs practice and you have to know the shape of your eyes for you to be able to get it. Not all of us has the same shape. No matter how many tutorial videos you watch but if you don’t know the shape of your eyes you’ll never get it and you’ll just get frustrated.
The 3 things you have to remember: 1. know the shape of your eyes, 2. practice, 3. blend like there’s no tomorrow.
The other day I discovered this YouTube video that I want to share with you. I have seen a lot of tutorial videos and this is the best for me (especially if you’re a beginner).
She has a lot of hacks, tricks, and tips. Like how to position your mirror (I didn’t even know until now that it’s very important) and how to use make up brushes and what kind of make up brushes to use.
Here’s the video:
